Editorial Policy

The Journal of Global Engineering Review (JGER) welcomes submissions that present novel findings, technological advancements, experimental investigations, and theoretical perspectives across all areas of engineering. Only manuscripts that fall within the journal’s aims and scope will be considered for review. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, unpublished, free of legal restrictions, and not under consideration by any other journal or conference.

Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online submission system.
  • The journal does not accept submissions by email or postal mail.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript follows the journal’s formatting, referencing, and ethical standards as defined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent rejection.

Editorial Screening

After submission, every manuscript undergoes an initial editorial check to confirm:

  • Compliance with journal scope and formatting standards
  • Originality and similarity screening
  • Ethical and structural completeness
  • Scientific relevance and clarity

Manuscripts that fail to meet preliminary requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected without external review.

Peer Review Process

Eligible manuscripts proceed to a double-blind review, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Reviews are performed by independent subject experts assigned based on the technical domain of the article. Reviewers assess originality, methodological soundness, experimental quality, interpretation of results, clarity of presentation, and contribution to existing knowledge.

Editorial decisions are based on reviewer recommendations and may result in:

  • Acceptance without revision
  • Minor or major revision
  • Re-evaluation following revision
  • Rejection

If reviewer recommendations conflict, the editor may seek an additional review or consult a member of the editorial board.

Editorial Responsibilities

Editors are obligated to:

  • Treat all manuscripts confidentially
  • Act without bias regarding nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or academic seniority
  • Declare conflicts of interest before handling a submission
  • Make decisions based purely on scientific merit and review evidence
  • Uphold publication ethics and investigate concerns related to misconduct

Any breach of ethical expectations may result in rejection, retraction, or notification of an author’s institution or funding agency.

Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools

JGER allows the use of AI-assisted language editing tools only for grammar, clarity, or proofreading. AI must not be used to generate text, data, analysis, results, or scholarly interpretation. AI systems cannot be listed as authors because authorship requires accountability for the research. A disclosure statement is required when AI tools are used in manuscript preparation.

Editors and reviewers may utilize AI tools strictly for support functions such as proofreading but not to influence academic judgment or decision-making.

Publication Timeline and Corrections

The typical review and publication cycle depends on reviewer availability and timely author responses. Authors must revise their manuscripts carefully and submit responses within the specified deadline. If significant errors are detected at any stage, the editorial office may issue corrections, notices, or retractions in accordance with COPE principles.
